As a Stream admin, you can restrict who can create events, see all events, and start, stop, modify and delete an event. By default, everyone in your organization can create a live event.

Important
China: Users located in China will not be able to set up or attend Microsoft Stream, Microsoft Teams, or Yammer live events or view videos on-demand because currently, Azure CDN, which these apps rely on, might not be accessible in China.
As an administrator, you might need to set up a VPN to connect your corporate network for these apps to work seamlessly. Once that's complete, people in your organization can schedule and attend live events.
Restrict who can create events
This control is only for the creation and production of a live event; everyone who has been granted view permissions to an event will be able to see it, regardless of this setting.
In addition to this setting, a user must also have a valid and enabled license to create live events. See Live event overview for more details.
You need to be a Stream admin to change this setting.
In Stream, go to Settings > Admin settings
In the Admin settings page, select Live events.
In the Live events page, click Settings.
Add users or security groups that you want to have permissions to be able to create live events, or leave the toggle set to Off to allow everyone in your organization to be able to create live events.
Click Save.
Manage a live event
Events shown in the Live now section are in the pre-live or live state and count towards the maximum number of concurrent active events that you can have running in your organization at a given period of time. As the administrator, you can disconnect events (if not started), or stop them to allow for new events to start. For more information, see Live event overview.
Go to Settings > Admin settings > Live events.
Click the Live now tab or the Upcoming tab.
To start, stop, modify or delete the event, click the Edit icon.

Installation
Automatic installation
Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don’t even need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install, log in to your WordPress admin panel, navigate to the Plugins menu and click Add New.
In the search field type “WP Event Manager” and click Search Plugins. Once you’ve found the plugin you can view details about it such as the the point release, rating and description. Most importantly of course, you can install it by clicking Install Now.
Manual installation
The manual installation method involves downloading the plugin and uploading it to your web server via your favorite FTP application.
Download the plugin file to your computer and unzip it
Using an FTP program, or your hosting control panel, upload the unzipped plugin folder to your WordPress installation’s
wp-content/plugins/
directory.Activate the plugin from the Plugins menu within the WordPress admin.
Getting started
Once installed:
Create a page called “events” and inside place the
[events]
shortcode. This will list your events.Create a page called “submit event” and inside place the
[submit_event_form]
shortcode if you want front-end submissions.Create a page called “event dashboard” and inside place the
[event_dashboard]
shortcode for logged in users to manage their listings.
Note when using shortcodes, if the content looks blown up/spaced out/poorly styled, edit your page and above the visual editor click on the ‘text’ tab. Then remove any ‘pre’ or ‘code’ tags wrapping your shortcode.

How do I setup WP Event Manager?

Can I use WP Event Manager without frontend event submission?
Yes! If you don’t setup the [submit_event_form] shortcode, you can just post from the admin backend.
How can I customize the event submission form?
There are three ways to customize the fields in WP Event Manager;
For simple text changes, using a localisation file or a plugin such as Say What.
For field changes, or adding new fields, using functions/filters inside your theme’s functions.php file: Read more.
